The Water Monitor floats in the water, gauging its temperature and transmitting info to the Wireless Receiver located indoors, up to 328 ft. away. The receiver also displays indoor temp in F° and C° and humidity. You can even program the system to sound an alarm when the water reaches a specified high or low temperature! The receiver has 3 channels, so you can add two additional monitors. Add another Water Monitor to keep track of both the pool and the hot tub (item #587295, sold separately). Add an Air Temperature/Humidity Monitor to receive outdoor temp and humidity info (item #587030, sold separately). System as sold includes one Water Monitor and one Wireless Receiver, and uses a total of 4 AA batteries (included).
